ORANGE —
You come to love not by finding the perfect person but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. There are too many of us who are looking for the perfect person or that perfect someone to spend the rest of our lives with. When we look to find that soul mate, that person who will be our life long partner, we are looking for that person who “exactly” fits the need in a certain situation or for a certain purpose of our life. All of this is great however the root of the problem is not entirely the fault of the person being choose (perfect) but the one who is doing the choosing (imperfection). The problem with this is simply that you have an imperfect person looking to choose a perfect person. In being imperfect we have a bad perspective on what perfection is. In our culture we view perfection as entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings. Once we learn to see the imperfections in our own lives and become able to deal with them and overcome them, we will begin to have a better perception of what we need, want and desire in our life. Can we see the flaws in our own lives? To look upon our own imperfections forces us to learn to see an imperfect person perfectly. Can we be honest with ourselves that we have flaws? If so, why do we try with imperfect eyes look for perfect people? What if God looked at us like that? What if God was looking upon us in this same manner? God looks at the heart of man and not the “head” ache of man. God looked at imperfect man and showed His perfect love by sending His perfect gift. Our attitude toward people directly effects how we look at others. Does our attitude allow us to see imperfect people perfectly? Do we have the mind set to see imperfect people perfectly? If we have a desire to be in a committed loving relationship, we need to look at imperfect people the way God looks at us. True love comes in seeing imperfect people perfectly. None of us are perfect and we all have flaws, but when we look at people through our heart and not our eyes we are then able to see imperfect people perfectly. Love covers a multitude of sins and it is by love that imperfection is accepted by perfection. By using our hearts and not our eyes to find perfect love will place us in the perfect harmony of a perfect God when we are dealing with imperfection.
