A teacher was assaulted as she attempted to break up a fight between two students.
Two students were fighting in the hallway at West Orange Stark Middle School at 8:46 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, when the instructor grabbed one student and attempted to push her in a room in order to stop the incident.
According to police reports, the teacher said she was struck in the back of her head more than a dozen times by the other student.
The student was arrested for Class A assault and Assault on a public servant, a felony.
More counterfeit money discovered
Officers from the City of Orange Police Department met with the manager of Wendy’s approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday in reference to counterfeit money.
The manager said a person had purchased a meal at the restaurant and paid with a $20 bill.
The cashier checked for authenticity of the money and discovered it is counterfeit.
