ORANGE —
Orange Police Department was notified of a possible fleeing felon from the Brownwood Police Department Wednesday.
Brownwood is 183 miles Southwest of Dallas.
The Brownwood Police Department, according to police reports, believed the man would be coming through Orange and stopping at a local fast food restaurant.
An officer from the Orange Police Department spotted the truck matching the description of the vehicle the man was traveling in at the restaurant. The manager of the establishment and the officer were able to determine the man sitting in the truck was Jerry Poling, the man Brownwood Police Department was looking for.
Poling attempted to rev his engine as an Orange officer approached the vehicle. The truck was in park.
Poling was taken into custody for the warrants issued in Brownwood: Possession of a controlled substance, Assault and Indecency with a child.
