PINEHURST —
One man in Pinehurst was not thinking on Monday.
A man identified as Blake James Roy, 26, discovered his vehicle had been towed from a fire lane in an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Macarthur Drive. Roy knocked on the door of the apartment security guard to ascertain the location of his vehicle.
Knowing the security guard is also a Texas Peace Officer, Roy asked, “Are you the cop?”
The officer identified himself as a peace officer but then noticed something slightly suspicious. Roy, who also had a small child in his possession, had a marijuana cigarette behind his ear.
When confronted about the illicit substance, Roy ran from the scene but was soon apprehended by the officer after a foot chase.
Roy, who has an Orange address, was booked into the Orange County Jail for Possession of Marihuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest.
Child Protection Services was contacted due to the fact the child was left behind when Roy fled the scene.
