VIDOR —
On Saturday, Dec. 1, members of the Vidor Junior High Symphonic Band participate in the Texas Music Educators Association Region X All-Region band auditions at Lumberton High School.
Based on their performance of the selected music, four VJHS band students were selected to perform wtih the All-Region Band on 5 p.m., Jan. 19, 2013, in the Nederland High School Performing Arts Center. The students chosen are Kyle Miller, trombone, Adriana Avalos, French horn, Kristen Davis, French horn, and Ana Plake, piccolo.
By virtue of their placement, Ana Plake and Kristen Davis will also perform with the Region X orchestra in concert at Goose Creek Memorial High School in Baytown at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. This is the second year in a row that MIller, Plake and Davis have been selected.
