Wrangling Bobcats
Orangefield Junior High Students Scarlet Neely, Bailee Ackerman, Jesse Winfree, Kacie Lummus, Keeley Gray, and Tanner Jenkins have been doing an outstanding job representing Orangefield in the Texas Wrangler Junior High Rodeo Division for Region V. These students recently competed in Nacogdoches where Jesse Winfree placed first in Boys Break Away Roping. Kacie Lummus placed first and Bailee Ackerman placed second in Girls Break Away Roping. Seventh graders, Tanner Jenkins and Winfree gave a great showing in Chute Dogging. Kacie Lummus commented on her rodeo experience, “It is a privilege to be able to rodeo, because not all kids get the chance. Practicing is tough, but it all pays off. It is also fun to meet new people.” The Texas Wrangler Junior High Division offers kids in grades sixth through eighth the opportunity to experience the highest level of competition in their region and is a family oriented organization.
