VIDOR —
The DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award has a long heritage of recognizing worthy students. Since it was first presented by the DEKALB brand in 1947, over 150,000 high school seniors from across the United States have been honored for their commitment to agriculture.
The DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award recognizes and encourages excellence in three areas:
Scholarship, Leadership, Agricultural work experience.
In addition, the award helps identify role models for younger students, showcases students to their local community and helps focus attention on the talented youth pursuing a future in agriculture.
The winner of the award receives public recognition, a beautifully cast bronze lapel pin, a certificate and letters of commendation from senior Monsanto management. The school is also provided with a multi-year plaque on which the name and year of each winner can be engraved. These materials are provided at no cost to the school as Monsanto’s way of saying "thank you" to those educators preparing students for promising careers in agriculture.
