ORANGE — Nancy Ann Berwick, 74, of Beaumont, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at Vidor Health and Rehab Center.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Paul Sumler, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, at Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson Bayou, Louisiana.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home in Orange.
Born in Johnson Bayou, Louisiana on December 12, 1938, Nancy was the daughter of Henry Monroe Stanley and Matilda (Burch) Stanley. Nancy loved playing bingo, fishing, and hunting. She also enjoyed being outdoors and attending to her flower beds. Nancy loved spending time with her family; especially with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Berwick; four brothers, Jarvis Stanley, Donald Gene Stanley, Walter Lee Stanley and Erving Stanley; sisters, Eula May Bass and Peggy McCuell; and life partner, O.V. Stanford.
Nancy is survived by her children, James Henry Berwick, Sr. and wife, Betty Jean of Port Neches, Martha Berwick Gamble and husband, Joe of Bridge City, Charles Barney Berwick and wife, Nancy Lee of Orangefield, Theresa Dianne Berwick and husband, Mike Holly of Beaumont, Kevin Stanley Berwick of Orange and Mary Margaret Berwick and husband, James Vercher of Orangefield; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
