SULPHUR —
Brenda Gay Roberts, 54, died Friday, November 2, 2012, in her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Sulphur and was a graduate of Sulphur High School. Brenda enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cake decorating, canning, cooking, arts and crafts, but especially enjoyed holding little babies and withholding the family cornbread dressing recipe. She was involved with One Way Ministries. Brenda will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, William Roberts of Sulphur; her father, Bob Bonnin and wife, Marie of Bridge City, Texas; her mother, Alma Ellender and husband, Kenneth of Carlyss; four children, Heather Icenogle and husband, Brinson of Houston, Texas, Kimberly Owens and husband, Sonny of Sulphur, Adam Thompson and fiance' Angela Guillory of Edgerly, and Angie Roberts of Missouri; her siblings, Steve Ellender and wife, Charlotte of Sulphur, Linda Bohacek and husband, John "Bo" of Baytown, Texas, Anita St. Romain and husband, Phil of DeRidder, Charlotte Ardoin and Sydney Hoffpauir of Lacassine, Bryan Bonnin and wife, Carole of Bridge City, Texas, and Jimmy Patin and wife, Donna of Lumberton, Texas; and her four grandchildren, Katherine Billings, Sebastian Owens, Destiny Roberts, and Charlie Thompson.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Revs. Hurshell Wayne Davis and John "Bo" Bohacek will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
