Marie Phillips Townsend of Orange, Texas died on February 10, 2013 at Gulf Health Care Center in Pt. Arthur Texas after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Marie Townsend although born in Shaw Mississippi in 1936 she resided in Orange Texas for 51 years. She was a faithful member of El bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Usher Board.
Home going Celebration will be at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday February 16, 2013 at El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church located at 704 North 12th st. Orange Texas with pastor Ricky Guillory officiating . Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 A.M. til time of service. Interment to follow at Hollywood Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Memorial Chapel.
She leaves to cherish her memories her twin brother, Marion Phillips Sr. (Flora), Orange Texas; two sisters Ruthie Mae Braxton and Essie Mae King, Greenville Mississippi; two daughters Ruby Broussard (Horace), Vivian Flore (Frederick), Orange Texas.
She also leaves behind four grandchildren, one great grand child and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
