ORANGE —
Frederick “Duane” Force, 64, of San Marcos, Texas, passed away on February 11, 2013 in Kyle, Texas. Duane was born on August 18, 1948 in Orange, Texas to Wilda Hildago Force and Frederick Eugene Force. He married Dale Lee on January 1, 1973 in Austin, Texas. Duane graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont. He later attended Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. He practiced tax law for most of his career and retired on June 30, 2012.
Duane is survived by his wife, Dale, and four children: son Christopher, wife Susan, and grandchildren Molly and Luke of Dickinson, Texas; son Michael of Austin, Texas; daughter Amy, husband Tony Mann, and grandson Asa of Littleton, Colorado; daughter Katie, husband Eric Meissner of Austin, Texas. Duane is also survived by his mother, Wilda Hart, of Orange, Texas, brother, Walter “Brent” Force and wife Andrea of Austin, Texas, stepbrother Rick Smitherman of Austin, Texas and stepbrother Ronnie Smitherman of Orange, Texas as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Duane was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Eugene Force, and brother, William “Bill” Eugene Force.
