Carthage, Texas —
A funeral service for Mrs. Maxine L. Taylor, age 83, of Carthage, TX, was held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Taylor passed away on Monday morning, Dec. 3, 2012, at her home in Carthage.
Hazel Maxine Lambert Taylor was born on Feb. 19, 1929, in Call, TX to Claude Burton Lambert and Annie Hendricks Lambert. She graduated from Orange High School in 1947. Mrs. Taylor married Maurice Allen “June” Taylor on March 15, 1950, in Orange. She worked at the courthouse in Orange. Mrs. Taylor and her husband were Baptist Missionaries and served in several countries in South America and in Mexico. While in Orange, she was a member of the Cove Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor moved to Carthage in 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, J.C. Lambert, Mildred Harris, and Gordon Lambert.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband of 62 years, June Taylor of Carthage; two sons, Bruce Taylor and wife Geri of Mont Belvieu and Paul Taylor and wife Rhonda of Carthage; one brother, Wayne Lambert and wife Linda of Rosenburg; five grandchildren, Hunter Taylor, Alyse Allen, Christina Allen Fulsom, Hannah Taylor, and Sydnee Taylor; and three great-grandchildren.
