Houston, Texas — Rachelle Danae Melton and David Michael Butler, Jr., both of Houston, were married in a 7 p.m. double ring ceremony July 17 at White Oak Plantation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Rev. Paula Crosby officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Kenneth Wayne Melton and Mrs. Kathy Becker Melton, of Orange. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Leslie Becker and Mrs. Sherry Becker, of Orange, and Mrs. Flora Melton, of Orange, and the late Joe T. Melton. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. David Michael Butler and Mrs. Mary Ella Reid Butler, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Reid Botts, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the late Mr. Robert R. Reid, and Mrs. Janet L. Butler, of Dallas, and the late Mr. James M. Butler. Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her maids of honor, Jill Wilbert and Katherine Rippel. The bridegroom was attended by his best men, Brandon Smith and Jarrod Kimble. Ushers were Tyler Melton, John Melton, Leslie Becker, Sr. and Jim Butler. The bride is a 2004 graduate of Cypress Springs High School in Cypress, Texas and graduated from Louisiana State University Graduate School in December 2008. She holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. The groom is a 2004 graduate of Bishop Sullivan High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University in December 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is a Certified Internal Auditor. Both the bride and groom are employed by Grant Thornton LLP in Houston, Texas. Following a cruise to Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
