Dallas, Texas —
Orange, TX – Lauren Lee Wendt became the bride of Kevin Michael Crain on Saturday, the 19th of March, two thousand and eleven, at seven o’clock in the evening at First Church of the Nazarene in Orange. The Reverend K. Ray McDowell performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Jan Wendt of Orange. She is the granddaughter of Ruby Collins, of Orange, and the late Ralph Collins, and the granddaughter of Fern Wendt, of Corpus Christi, and the late Herbert Wendt. Her father escorted her down the aisle.
The groom is the son of Dennis and Evelyn Crain of Garland, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Kurt and Elisabeth Schlosske, and the grandson of Ruth Crain of Charlevoix, Michigan, and the late Glenn Crain.
Attending the bride as Maid of Honor was her sister, Taylor Wendt. Bridesmaids were Erika Crain, sister of the groom, Jamie Dolezal, Jordan Fisher, Ashton Smith, and Haeli Wey. Rebekah Balciunas, Jennifer Crain, and Rachel Dalton served the guests. Christopher Crain, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Christian Wendt, brother of the bride, Robert Duval, Andrew Fastle, Kyle Lintelman, and Darrell Taylor. Ushers were Estuardo Balderas, Harrison Hearn, Eric Helgeson, and Nick Russell.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Kathy Emmert, Diane Boone, Stephanie Cook, and Ethan Tayne. A reception followed immediately at the Sunset Grove Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Tuffy’s in Mauriceville.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Little Cypress Mauriceville High School and graduated from Texas A&M University magna cum laude in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She plans to teach secondary social studies in Dallas. The groom is a 2006 graduate of Sachse High School and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in English. He is a copywriter at Seize the Deal in Dallas.
Following their honeymoon in Belize, the couple will reside in Dallas.
