Orangefield, TX – Whitney Paige Mott and Ryan Nicholas Richard were united in marriage on April 9, 2011 in an afternoon ceremony at First Baptist Church Orangefield. Reverend Forrest Wood performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jon and Jolynn Mott of Orangefield. Her father escorted her down the aisle. The groom is the son of Kenneth and Bobbi Richard of Bridge City. Attending the bride as Maid of Honor was Brittni Worthy. Bridesmaids were Kala Duncan and Katie Sanders. Jordan Guidry served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Kirk Vincent and David Coulter. Ushers were Grant Mott, Chad Richard, and Phillip Richard. The flower girl was Gracelynn Smith and Reed Williams carried the rings.
A reception followed at the Bridge City-Orangefield Community Center. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Roberts Steakhouse in Orange.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Orangefield High School and graduated from Lamar University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Bridge City High School and is currently a Second Class Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard.
Following their honeymoon, the couple will be stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
