VIDOR —
Police are still searching for the man involved in a bank robbery on Monday.
The Vidor Police Department continues its investigation into a bank robbery which occurred at 4:26 p.m., Monday, at Mid-South Bank at 1384 N. Main St. in Vidor. Police are still searching for the man involved.
According to Chief Dave Shows of the Vidor Police Department, the unidentified culprit is described as a white man, who is tall and thin. He was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans and wearing a dark colored Texas Tech baseball cap.
“The man walked into the bank and handed the teller a note which said he wanted money,” Shows said. “Once he got the money, he then fled the bank on foot.”
Shows said the man did not visibly display a weapon, nor did he imply that he was carrying a weapon when he confronted the bank teller.
The Vidor Police Department is seeking information on this robbery from the public. Anyone with information is asked to call the Vidor Police Department at 409-769-4561.
