ORANGE — Mrs. Daphne McIntire, Science Teacher at St. Mary Catholic School, can think of some interesting assignments to make lessons “come to life”. Recently 5th graders were learning about the different phases of the moon. To illustrate the different stages that the moon goes through each month, the students had to prepare a food item. Some of the lunar phases included full moon cornbread and half-moon cookies. This is one assignment the students enjoyed “finishing off”.
