The National Weather Service said there is a small rain chances come in Friday morning, and increase Friday night into Saturday.
Less than 0.25 inch is expected region wide. There is a very small chance that a few ice pellets could occur Friday morning in east Texas, but it will not accumulate and it will not be a problem for roads and bridges.
According to a press release, Sunday and Monday will be cool and dry.
Rain returns to the forecast, starting Tuesday, and continuing Wednesday and Thursday. This system has the potential to bring heavy rain and/or strong to severe thunderstorms to our area Wednesday and Thursday. Forecaster confidence is low on the exact timing, duration, and strength of this system.
