LAKE CHARLES —
The Lake Charles Police Department is investigating 61 criminal damage to property reports that occurred between the hours of 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 and 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012.
More that 60 vehicles and several area businesses were damaged Saturday night and early Sunday morning with damages estimated at approximately $50,000.00 dollars. In several cases, victims had windows shot out on more than one vehicle parked in their driveway.
Some of the targeted areas are Pear Street, Rena Street, Tulip Street, Rose Street, 11th Street, 21st Street, Ryan Street, Pine Street, Louisiana Avenue, Tousand Street, Orrin Street and numerous other locations according to a press release from the Lake Charles Police Department.
Detectives are searching for a late model, 2009 to 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, possible an LT edition, medium gray or silver in color with factory chrome rims. Windows may possibly be tinted. The suspected vehicle was occupied by three male subjects utilizing a CO2 air BB or pellet pistol to shoot out the windows of the victim’s vehicles and businesses.
