ORANGE —
Orange County Engineer, Clark Slacum asked Commissioners Court to authorize the Road and Bridge Department to install ‘No Parking Between Signs’ at each end of the guard rail of the bridge on Lake Street in Bridge City.
The area is also known as Bailey Road, a popular fishing and crabbing location in the area.
There have been several complaints of vehicles parking on or near the bridge causing difficulty for those wanting to travel past the bridge.
The court has called for a public hearing to be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 19 to give the public an opportunity to voice comments concerning the action.
Orange County Commissioners Court will vote on the item during the 2 p.m. Monday meeting following the hearing.
Commissioners Court meets at the Orange County Administration Building located at 123 South Sixth Street in Orange.
