ORANGE — Orange County residents can expect a wet weekend as a front is expected to move in Friday which will lower temperatures for next week.
The heaviest rain is expected to occur on Saturday and Sunday. Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, La. predict one to two inches of rain on Saturday and another possible inch on Sunday. Scattered thunderstorms are predicted for Saturday while isolated thunderstorms are forecast for Sunday.
Temperatures over the weekend should not go over 90 degress with lows dipping down to the mid-60s.
The low pressure area is expected to move to the east early Monday.
There are two tropical systems in the Atlantic. Nadine is still churning south of Cuba and is no threat to land. A tropical wave in the Caribbean has shown no signs of development.
