Fourth of July brings holiday office closures

With the approaching Fourth of July holiday on Saturday, many local, state, and federal agencies will take Friday off in observance of the holiday.

All city offices in Orange, West Orange, Pinehurst, Bridge City, Vidor, Rose City and Pine Forest will be closed for business Friday and reopen for normal business hours on Monday.

Garbage collection services will run as scheduled for each community in Orange County as well.

All Orange County government offices will be closed on Friday as well, including the Orange County Courthouse.

The United States Postal Service will deliver mail as normal on Friday, but will not deliver mail on Saturday, which is the actual holiday. Most federal offices will be closed on Friday, since the holiday is on Saturday.

Orange Savings Bank, Community Bank, and Capital One Bank will be open for business during normal banking hours on Friday, but the banks with motor banks open on Saturday will be closed Saturday.

Sabine Federal Credit Union and MCT Credit Union will be closed Friday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday, as will most credit unions.

The Orange Leader office on Dal Sasso Drive will also be closed Friday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday, but will reopen at 8 a.m., Monday.
