ORANGE — Five women are arrested during an undercover prostitution sting in Orange.
Orange Police Department conducted an undercover sting operation targeting prostitution in the city on Wednesday according to a press release from Captain Cliff Hargrave.
The women were arrested at the 2300 block of Hird and the 300 block of Lutcher on Wednesday.
The woman and charges are:
• Bertha Geral, 50 - prostitution class A (prior conviction) and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Precious King, 34 - prostitution class B
• Shanna Meaux, 29 - prostitution class B
• Irisha Dupree, 33 – prostitution class B
• Melanie Rider, 45 - prostitution state jail felony (3 or more convictions)
