BAYTOWN —
On Saturday, Feb. 2, a total of 32 Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Choir students participated in Region X, UIL Vocal Solo and Ensemble Competition at Goose Creek Memorial High School in Baytown.
The group received 23 Superior ratings and 8 Excellent ratings. Receiving Superior ratings were Makayla Bloodworth, Taylor Bloodworth, Rachel Brady, Alia Brown, Lauren Cooley, Peyton Croaker, Adrianna Davis, Hannah Hodges, Denay Hutchinson, Chris Jacobs-Smith, Taryn LaCour, Cotricia Leonard, Nikki Mathis, Maggie McMahon, Sterling Miller, Brittani O’Dell, Jason Picard, Alex Saucier, Alexis Sezer, Micah Spell, Anthony Tolbert, Abby Turner and Tavi Weimer.
Those receiving ratings of Excellent are Amber Chandler, D. Shay Griffin, Kender Myers, Abigail Noah, Alidia Norton, Angela Norton, Tyler Smith and Chris Votava.
Fourteen students qualified for State competition. These include Taylor Bloodworth, Rachel Brady, Lauren Cooley, Peyton Croaker, Hannah Hodges, Denay Hutchinson, Chris Jacobs-Smith, Taryn LaCour, Maggie McMahon, Sterling Miller, Alex Saucier, Micah Spell, Anthony Tolbert and Abby Turner.
