Closings for Christmas
With the Christmas holiday finally here, many area governmental agencies, non-emergency offices and financial institutions will be closed Thursday and Friday.
All non-emergency City of Orange offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Christmas. Regular city business will resume at normal business hours on Monday.
There will be no garbage collection on Friday in Orange. All garbage normally collected on Friday will instead be collected on Saturday.
All city offices in West Orange, Pinehurst, Bridge City, Vidor and Pine Forest will be closed Thursday and Friday. In Rose City, the city offices will close by noon, Thursday and be closed all day on Friday.
In Vidor and Bridge City, there will be no garbage collection on Friday. However, all garbage normally collected on Friday will instead be collected on Saturday.
Most Orange County offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, as well as Monday. Many of the State of Texas offices will be closed Thursday and Friday too.
The United States Postal Services will be closed on Friday in observance of Christmas, but mail delivery will resume on Saturday.
Most financial institutions will close early on Thursday and remain closed Friday for Christmas.
Orange Savings Bank will close at 2 p.m., Thursday, be closed Friday, but open its motor bank on Saturday.
Community Bank will closed at 1 p.m., Thursday, and all day Friday, but will be open for normal business hours on Saturday.
MCT Credit Union will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday and will reopen for normal business operations on Monday.
Check with your individual banking location for its holiday hours.
