Queen B employees indicted
Four women who were arrested following a raid at a Vidor 8-liner raid, were indicted this week for allegedly engaging in organized criminal activity.
The four employees from the Queen B who were arrested in Septmber are Sharon Rye, Linda Gallagher, Janis Cathey and Judy Holder. They have been charged with third degree felony charges. If convicted they could face up to 10 years in prison.
The employees allegedly paid winnings to customers. Most violations are class C misdemeanors, but cash cannot be paid under any circumstances. It is legal as long as a person receives a gift certificate up to a $5 value. However, it becomes a felony when there are violations of organized crime statues, conspiracy crimes or interstate crimes. Paying cash to winners is illegal in Texas.
An undercover officer posed as a customer and reportedly received cash from his winnings. At times the winners were given tickets for the winnings which they collected the cash at a nearby convenience store.
Other indictments returned include;
• Grady Dominic Butler of Orange, unlawful posseion of a firearm by felon;
• Raymond, Lamark Miller of Orange, delivery of a controlled substance:
• Aljer Gillyard Jr. of Orange, felony possession of a controlled substance;
• Taylor Deboricia Cook of Orange, debit card abuse/felony theft;
• Druscilla Marie Brown of Orange, felony theft;
• Misti Lynn Kibodeaux of Orangefield, driving while intoxicated with child passenger;
• Jayson Louis Falls of Vidor, burglary of a habitation (two cases);
• Christopher Bryan Broussard of Vidor, unauthorized use of a vehicle;
• Gregory Scott Rothering of Bridge City, felony possession of a controlled substance;
• Allen Glen Chavis of Orange, felony possesseion of a controlled substance;
• Aubrey Lee Hines of Orange, sexual assualt;
• Patrick Kyle Tally of Bridge City, felony driving while intoxicated.
