VIDOR —
An undercover operation has led to the arrest of one person and the discovery of $2,500 in marijuana.
Nicolas Caldera, 17, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at his home in the 900 block of Roberts Street in Vidor by Narcotics Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office after an undercover personnel purchased marijuana from the teenager at his residence. Investigators also received consent to search premises and were able to discover approximately two pounds of marijuana. The marijuana was in 43 individually wrapped bags and has an approximate street value of $2,500. Also located were scales and several hundred dollars in cash.
Caldera was charged with felony possession of marijuana and delivery of marijuana and transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility where he remains in custody on a $20,000 bond.
Sheriff Keith Merritt stated he will continue to dedicate resources to help keel illegal drugs out of the communities of Orange County.
