BEAUMONT —
Business representatives interviewed about how satisfied they are with Entergy Texas, Inc. gave the company marks high enough for it to receive the highest score among midsize utilities in the South in J.D. Power and Associates 2013 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction StudySM.
The interviews took place over the course of 2012 with Entergy Texas achieving the highest scores in four areas measured: power quality and reliability, price, communications and customer service.
“We are, of course, pleased to receive the highest satisfaction score in our region,” Sallie Rainer, president and chief executive officer, Entergy Texas, Inc. said. “What makes it really special to us is that while J.D. Power and Associates compiled the information, we’ve actually received the highest score from the business customers who told J.D. Power and Associates we were doing a good job.”
The business customer satisfaction study was based on interviews with representatives of businesses across the U.S. To ensure fairness, the companies are divided by geography and size. Entergy Texas was compared to 12 other electric utilities in its size category that are also located in the South region.
In addition to receiving the highest customer satisfaction scores in its region, Entergy Texas also earned the second-highest scores out of all 48 mid-size utilities across the nation and the fifth-highest scores out of 95 large- and small-sized utilities.
Entergy Texas provides electricity to more than 400,000 customers in 27 counties. It is a subsidiary of Entergy Corporation. Entergy, which celebrates its 100th birthday this year, is an integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations.
