ORANGE — Sunday's finals of the "Fifth Annual Showdown on the Sabine" was full of excitement, speed, thrills, and a few bumps and collisions.

Three classifications of boats roared around the Sabine River on Saturday, Sept. 22, and Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, keeping the crowd entertained from start to finish.

The full list of results will be placed in Tuesday's edition of The Orange Leader, along with photos.

Curtis Nunez of Nederland, Texas, won the Formula 1 race, while Mark Schmerbauch of Greenfield, Wis. won the high speed Formula Light race. Winning the Tri-Hull competition on Sunday was Jerry Rinker of Spring, Texas.
