ORANGEFIELD — Orangefield High School students in Mr. Gilson’s physics class conducted a rocket lab to determine the maximum height an alcohol-based rocket could achieve. The students used a stopwatch to calculate the “hang time” then used that time to calculate height of the rocket. The students were excited, engaged and learning actual hands on experience to supplement their classroom work.
