A benefit for Carl “Bub” Trussell, a heart transplant patient, will be held from noon - 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, at Cotton’s Cay in Orange. BBQ plates are $8 and include brisket, sausage, potato salad, baked beans, bread, onions and pickles. A live auction will be held, as will a 50/50 drawing, and raffle items are available. Operation Kid Safe

We will have the fire department with a truck, police department and the sheriff’s department with cars, safety tips and even some gun-handling safety tips.
