BRIDGE CITY —
Sporadic power outages left more than 1,000 Entergy customers in the dark early Wednesday morning.
Entergy Texas reported 1,154 customers across Bridge City were without power early Wednesday morning due to an equipment failure at approximately 12:48 a.m., Wednesday.
The problem occurred with a line switch. According to Debi Derrick, Entergy Texas spokesperson, when work crews “tried to close the line back in, we were unable to get all of the customers” power restored. So, the work crews took the power line out of service again in order to make more repairs.
While not all customers were without power during the two-and-a-half hour outage, some did experience multiple outages as power was restored and removed.
All power was restored to customers by 3:12 a.m., Wednesday, according to Entergy.
