ORANGE — A man from West Orange has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to reckless injury to a child.
Daniel Ray Andrews of West Orange pleaded guilty to reckless injury to a child and has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, which is the maximum sentence. Adams, 24, scalded his girlfriend's small child in the bathtub.
Orange County District Attorney John Kimbrough stated the child received burns to more than half of his body.
The child's mother was reportedly not home at the time of the incident.
Andrews plead guilty on Aug. 24, and was sentenced the same day.
