ORANGE — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School UIL Prose/Poetry team competed at the Port Neches-Groves UIL Academic Meet on Saturday, Feb. 2. The team of eight saw every member advance from preliminary to semi-final competition with six readers reaching the final round. Placing in Finals were, from left, Kristin Yokum, third place in Prose; Jacob Richard, sixth place in Prose; Haley Wright, first place in Prose; Triston Stringer, second place in Poetry; Rebecca Sanford, third place in Poetry; and Alex Borel, seventh place in Poetry. The team is coached by LC-M Theatre Director Cory Broom.
