BRIDGE CITY —
The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting along with their monthly networking coffee at aNe Insurance, one of Bridge City’s newest chamber members. Owner Alice Ellen Nickum whose initials monogram style are aNe has been a part of the Bridge City Community since August, 1965 when she and her husband, Bill moved here as newlyweds.
Ellen made the decision to open an independent agency when she saw the marketing need arise for one in our area. Ellen has been in and around the insurance business for over 40 years due to her husband also being his own insurance agent. Bill proudly supports Ellen in this new venture even giving up two of his employees to help in the new business. Charlene Wappler and Nathan Dean joined Ellen when aNe Insurance Agency opened in June, 2012. Charlene is a licensed agent in home, auto, life and health and is currently working on getting certified to become a Flood Specialist. Nathan has been a licensed agent for two and one half years in home, auto, life and health. He is the manager for aNe Insurance and has worked diligently securing companies for aNe to represent. The office, located at 1025 Texas Avenue, Suite B is open from 8:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday.
