ORANGE — Labor Day is just around the corner, and that means many businesses and governmental agencies will be closed Monday.
Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 3, and that means most non-essential city, state and federal offices and institutions will be closed in observance.
All non-essential offices in the Cities of Orange, West Orange, Pinehurst, Bridge City, Vidor, Rose City and Pine Forest will be closed Monday. Regular city business will resume at normal hours on Tuesday.
Garbage services will run as normally scheduled.
All non-essential Orange County and State of Texas offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day as well. Financial institutions such as Sabine Federal Credit Union, Orange Savings Bank, Compass Bank, MCT Credit Union and others will be closed too.
The U.S. Postal Service will observe the Labor Day holiday on Monday and there will be no delivery. Mail delivery and collection will resume Tuesday as normal.
