The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for two of its biggest annual awards.
The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its Business of the Year and its Citizen of the Year awards. The winners will be announced at the chamber’s annual banquet on Jan. 14, 2013, at the Bridge City Community Center.
Nominations will be accepted through Tuesday, Dec. 11. All nominations must be in a sealed envelope marked to the attention of the nominating committee and mailed or delivered to the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce, 150 W. Roundbunch, Bridge City, Texas, 77611.
Nominees for the Business of the Year should meet several of the criteria, such as a history of being an established business, growth in employees, growth in sales, innovation of service or product, history of contributions which assist community oriented partners and projects and, finally, be a member of the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce.
The Citizen of the Year honors an individual who has volunteered his or her time to help improve the quality of life within the community. Examples should be included in the information provided.
Criteria for this award include leadership, skills, support, commitment, outreach to citizens of the community and the desire to make a positive impact within the community.
