BEAUMONT —
Wish you had a big-screen LED television in the living room? Or maybe an iPad to take on vacation? These are two of the energy-efficient prizes up for grabs this summer when Entergy Texas launches its own Facebook page with a special summer contest.
“Survive the Sizzle” kicks off Wednesday, Aug. 1 and calls on customers to show us their favorite hot weather sizzle-busting activity by submitting photos at Facebook.com/EntergyTX. Customer-submitted photographs will be reviewed to ensure appropriate content, then posted for customers to decide their favorites with a simple hit of the “like” button.
“We’re about to hit the dog days—and highest temperatures—of summer,” said Pam Williams, customer operations support manager. “We want our customers to tell us how they keep their cool and we want to tell them about the energy-efficiency programs we have in place to help them do just that in ways that save them money.”
Williams noted that all the prizes up for grabs are more than just something we would like to have for fun. They are also energy efficient. They include:
• First Place: One winner will receive a 50-inch Energy Star LED television.
• Second Place: One winner will receive an Energy Star washer-dryer set.
• Third Place: Four winners will each receive an iPad.
• Fourth Place: Four winners will each receive a Learning Thermostat for their homes. These thermostats “learn” your preferences over the first week of use and self-program accordingly.
Once photos are posted for voting, Entergy Texas encourages the person who submitted it to use their social media network to stuff the ballot box with likes from as many friends as possible. The number of likes will determine the winners.
The contest comes to customers thanks to the company’s Entergy Solutions energy efficiency program—a multi-million dollar program that provides energy efficiency measures to homeowners at little or no cost to them. Interested? No need to wait for the Facebook contest to find out more. Go to entergyefficiency.com to find out how you can save money.
