VIDOR —
The Orange County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a double homicide after discovering the bodies of a husband and wife, Aaron Conn, 34, and Summer Conn, 30, in the 5600 block of Woodside Drive located in north Vidor.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated both appeared to have “sustained gunshot wounds.” The victims were transported to the Jefferson County Morgue for an autopsy.
Officials located the suspect, identified as Curtis Allen Garrison of Vidor, at a separate residence in the 15000 block of FM 1442 in Mauriceville. Garrison, 26, was detained without incident. After a warrant was issued, Garrison has been charged with Capital Murder and was booked into the Orange County Jail late Friday.
After being arraigned by Janice Menard, Orange County Justice of the Peace - Precinct 3, Garrison’s bond was set at $1 million. He remains in custody at this time.
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrived the scene at approximately 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23, and discovered the bodies of Aaron and Summer Conn, both residents of Vidor.
No other information was available and messages left at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office were not immediately returned.
Sheriff Keith Merritt and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division continue to investigate Friday’s shooting and are still asking anyone with information to call 409-670-4125.
