DEWEYVILLE —
A community tradition is back and needing more help than ever.
The 10th Annual Community Toy Drive will be held from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Deweyville Community Center. The organizing committee is estimating 60 to 100 children in the Deweyville area may need assistance this year, and help is definitely needed.
Toys and gifts are needed for children who range between the ages of newborn through teenager. The group will also be accepting cash donations, which will be used to purchase gifts for children who may still need additional gifts. The organizing committee try to provide each child with at least three gifts for Christmas.
Residents of the Deweyville area, who may need assistance for their children this Christmas, may register from 9 a.m. - noon, Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Deweyville Community Center.
Gifts will not be handed out at the toy drive. The committee will notify individuals when gifts may be collected.
