ORANGE —
Officials with Invista broke news Monday afternoon the company would invest $100 million into the Orange facility located on FM 1006.
Invista is one of the world's integrated producers of polymers and fibers, primarily for nylon, spandex and polyester applications according to the company's website.
The funds is set to help the plant lower its carbon footprint.
Invista’s investment into Orange’s facility also has the company excited about the possibility of hiring nearly 100 temporary employees for the construction.
Invista has over 70 years of experience in the nylon business and boasts its proprietary technology remains the world’s most efficient technology for HMD and ADN production. The technology was bought from DuPont four years ago for more than $4 billion.
