Orange County Commissioner Pct. 1 David Dubose was recently sworn in as President of the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC).
“This means a lot to me as a person and to our community,” said Dubose.
SETRPC held its 41st Annual Meeting at on Wednesday at the City of Beaumont Event Center.
The SETRPC is a voluntary association of local governments established in June 1970 that includes Hardin, Jefferson, and Orange Counties. SETRPC promotes intergovernmental cooperation and coordination, and provides a forum for the discussion and study of area issues.
“The commission helps to find funding for southeast Texas,” Dubose said. “The commission has a great staff and we help review and find the funding for the projects.”
Highlights of the meeting included installation of SETRPC Officers for 2013.
