ORANGE —
Heavy rain continues to drench Orange County and minor street flooding has been reported.
All four Orange County Road and Bridge barns will be remaining open for extended hours Wednesday evening to dispense sandbags to county residents.
The Orange County Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor developing weather conditions throughout the night and Thursday morning and take appropriate action as needed.
Orange County Judge Carl Thibodeaux said there are plenty of sandbags at the Road and Bridge Barns to help the residents of Orange County.
“The crews will stay on duty until everyone is taken care of,” Thibodeaux said. “The Neches River is coming up real fast in the North Vidor-area.”
Thibodeaux said there is some flooding in the north Vidor area as a result of the storm.
Sand bags can be obtained at:
Pct. 1 Barn 10375 State Highway 87 North
Pct. 2 Barn 2600 Lawrence Road
Pct. 3 Barn 2505 W. Roundbunch Road
Pct. 4 Barn 345 Claiborne Road
