ORANGE —
Are you looking for new products, services or business networking? Then look no further than the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual business expo.
The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its third annual Business Expo and Golf Tournament from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday, July 9, at Sunset Grove Country Club in Orange. Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.
Ida Schossow, president of the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce, said this Monday’s event is the biggest and best yet. The floor space inside Sunset Grove Country Club is completely filled and will feature numerous local businesses with information on products and services, while the golf tournament features the largest field of teams to date.
“This is the first time we have had the business expo in July, but it seems like it has been a really good change so far considering the response we’ve had,” Schossow explained.
While the vendors are all members of the Great Orange Area Chamber of Commerce, the event itself is open to the public.
Each vendor in attendance will give-away prizes, and a grand prize drawing for a laptop computer will be held as well.
“This is a great way for people or other area businesses who aren’t members of the chamber to see what some of the businesses in our chamber have to offer,” Schossow added. “We have companies with a variety of products or services, whether its industry, banks or credit unions, suppliers and so forth. It’s proved to be very helpful for other businesses in the past and we hope it will again this year.”
Registration for the golf tournament begins at 7 a.m., Monday, and starts at 8 a.m. A second registration will be held at noon with a starting time of 1 p.m., Monday.
Also, a percentage of the net proceeds from Monday’s business expo and golf tournament will be donated to the chamber’s 2011 Non-Profit Community Service recipient, Southeast Texas Hospice.
