WEST ORANGE —
The West Orange–Cove Consolidated Independent School District will hold a Substitute Orientation from 8:30 a.m. - 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6 at the West Orange–Stark High School senior cafeteria.
The orientation session is for new and current teacher, paraprofessional, food service, and custodial substitutes who have completed the enrollment process which includes fingerprint clearance. All substitutes are asked to bring their driver’s license and social security card.
All substitutes are encouraged to attend. However, substitutes who attended the fall 2012 training session are not required to attend.
Individuals interested in applying for substitute positions may visit the West Orange-Cove CISD website at www.woccisd.net to apply online. Applications are also available at the West Orange-Cove CISD Administration Building at 505 N. 15th St. in Orange.
Teacher substitutes are required to have 24 hours of college credit. Classroom observation hours are also required. Paraprofessional substitutes must have a high school diploma.
All WO-C CISD substitutes are also required to complete background checks.
