The West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs split a pair of games at the Lady Mustang Tournament Friday.
WO-S defeated East Chambers 13-1 and fell to the Hardin Lady Hornets 11-0.
Madison Neal got the win on the mound against East Chambers.
Marlaysia Davis had three hits in the victory, one a double, and scored twice.
Destinie Stewart roped a triple and a double and scored twice. Ryashia Daughtery and Ashle Taylor both added singles. Aaliyah Teel had a double and scored twice while Tia Edwards and Markia Davis both scored two times.
In Thursday action at the tourney, the Lady Mustangs fell to Deweyville 12-7 in four innings despite outhitting the Lady Pirates 8-5.
Deweyville took advantage of 11 walks issued by WO-S pitching and some timely hitting off those walks.
Lady Mustang Ryisha Daughtery went 2-for-3 with two doubles and drove in three runs. Madison Neal was 2-for-3, scored twice and drove in a run.
Also for WO-S, Markia Davis was 1-for-3, scored and drove in a run. Tia Edwards was 1-for-3 with a two-run triple. Ashle Taylor was 1-for-1 and scored while Marlaysia Davis was 1-for-2 and scored.
The Lady Mustangs went on to drop a 7-1 decision at the hands of Kirbyville later on Thursday night.
In other action at the tourney Thursday, Hardin-Jefferson downed East Chambers 9-0; Hardin defeated East Chambers 15-3.
The tournament will conclude today with six more games, including the championship at 5 p.m.
At the College Station Tournament Thursday and Friday , the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears snagged several big wins.
They defeated Victoria East 12-0 and Marble Falls 3-0 on Thursday. Against Victoria East, Blythe Ferguson and Raven Cole hit back-to-back home runs with Ferguson’s being a grand slam. On Friday, the Lady Bears drilled Magnolia West 14-1. Hope Russell got the win on the hill and had a home run as LC-M blasted three home runs.
LIVINGSTON — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats snagged a pair of nice wins at the Livingston Tournament Thursday, defeating New Waverly 5-0 and Livingston 5-1.
Against New Waverly, Khandi Breaux got the win on the hill, striking out six. Ashton Gatreaux picked up two hits while Rachell Johnson, Kylie Bradley and Sammi Burgess each added hits.
Breaux picked up the win again against Livingston, striking out six.
Burgess had two hits while Katelyn Dickerson, Kelsey Ancelot, Hayleigh Turley had singles and Bradley had a double.
The Lady Bobcats return to the Livingston Tournament today.
The Bridge City Lady Cardinals snagged a pair of wins at the Fort Bend Christian Tournament Friday, downing Hyde Park 4-0 and defeating Highland Park 8-6.
