The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears swept past the Lumberton Lady Raiders 25-23, 25-20, 25-19 in their District 20-4A opener at Raider Gym Tuesday night.
Sarah Woods posted eight kills, three blocks and two digs for the Lady Bears. Kayleigh Roy had six kills and five digs. Haylea Hearn netted five kills and four digs. Malayzia Winbush notched five kills, six blocks and a dig and Jade Piper had four kills, a block and a dig.
Josie West set up the offense well, claiming 28 assists while adding two kills and 14 digs. Demi Sheppard played excellent defense, getting 19 digs and three aces. Kelsey Crowe collected 12 digs, four aces and a kill while Savannah Fisher had seven digs and three aces.
The Lady Bears will compete in the YMBL Tournament starting in Beaumont today.

FANNETT - The West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs claimed their District 21-3A opener Tuesday night, downing the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns 25-16, 25-27, 22-25, 27-25, 15-9.
Kia Carter notched 11 blocks and five kills for the Lady Mustangs. NaShauna Ford had seven kills and 20 digs. Tia Edwards claimed 37 digs and Ashle Taylor had 30 while Daijah Roberts and Aaliyah Teel had five kills apiece.
The Lady Mustangs will compete in the YMBL Tournament starting today.

SILSBEE — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats took down the SIlsbee Lady Tigers 22-25, 25-18, 32-30, 25-19 in the District 21-3A opener for both teams at Tiger Gym Tuesday night.
Jennifer McManus powered her way to 16 kills to help the Orangefield offensive effort.
Rylie Granger ser things up well with a whopping 33 assists while Kacey LeBlanc played excellent defense by notching 29 assists.
The Lady Bobcats will compete in the YMBL Tournament starting today.
