The Orange Leader
In their second home game of the season and their first homecoming game, the Lions of Community Christian tamed the Texas Christian High School Tigers in the last 16 seconds of the first half. The Lions scored to bring the score to 54 -15 when the PAT went wide to the left.
After the Lions kicked to the Tigers, the pass on their first play was intercepted by R.C. Morris, who made a quick dash up the middle of the Tigers and crossed the goal line. The PAT crossed the uprights this time and the game ended with 62-15 on the scoreboard. In Six Man Football, a 45 point lead at the end of the first half brings the game to an end.
It was a fast end to a game that had a slow start. The homecoming activities started with the crowning of the 2012 King and Queen. After the festivities ended, there was no opposing team on the campus. After some checking it was determined that the Tigers were at the 16th Street campus. CCS Athletic Director Ben Yurcho drove to the other campus to bring the Tigers to the field. After giving the Tigers ample time to warm up, the game only started 10 minutes late.
