BEAUMONT —
The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears snagged their 20th win of the season Tuesday, blanking the Beaumont Central Lady Jaguars 12-0 in five innings in District 20-4A action at Lady Jaguar Field.
The win sets up a nice showdown between the Lady Bears (20-4, 6-0) and the Vidor Lady Pirates (16-6, 5-1) at Lady Bear Field Friday night. Vidor squeezed out a 4-3 victory against Livingston Tuesday.
Hope Russell earned the win on the hill against Central. Russell allowed just two hits while striking out 10 and walking none.
Taylor Fraccastoro was 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in a run and had a triple. Russell was 2-for-2, scored three runs and had a triple.
Danielle Deramus was 1-for-3 and drove in a run. Blythe Ferguson was 1-for-3 and scored. Alicia Fuss drove in two runs while Shelby Lebeouf scored two runs and Mikaela Stegall, Kassie James and Morgan Babineaux all scored a run.
