LC-M, OF all even after Bears 64-56 win

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Battlin' Bears and Orangefield Bobcats are as even as two teams can be after two games since Friday after LC-M's 64-56 victory
Tuesday evening at the Bear Cave.
Orangefield (8-4) defeated LC-M 51-43 Friday in the semi-finals of the Bobcats Classic. Now both teams have a win against each other and both teams have scored
a total of 107 points in the two games.
Luke Thomas led the Bears (5-7) with 15 points while Hunter Gonzales finished with 14 points and six rebounds.
Orangefield, who was paced by Zach Hayes' 16 points and 14 rebounds, led 13-11 after the first period yet the Bears outscored the Bobcats 20-14 in the second to take a 31-27 lead into half-time.
The Bobcats pulled closer after the third period as LC-M led 44-42 heading into the game's final eight minutes.
The youthful Bears put the game away by winning the fourth period 20-14.
Cameron Johnson had 11 points and five rebounds for the Bears while Jake Tsuchiya added nine points and five boards.
Orangefield's Stefan Addison added nine points and five rebounds in the loss while Derrick Evans finished with eight points.
The Bears will open District 20-4A play Friday with a road trip to face the Port Neches-Groves Indians. Orangefield will travel to face Sabine Pass in non-district action.
